Our Vision

Our goal is to help students develop skills that will positively affect them in every aspect of their academic life. We focus on their distinctive qualities and foster a growth mindset by taking the time to explain to students the educational system, the challenges they may face at school, and the areas where traditional schools might not be meeting their needs. By understanding the environment they find themselves in, we give our students the tools to make life-altering changes by teaching strategies that will help them become self-advocates for their own education, allowing them to thrive in any type of school setting. This can all be done while addressing the curriculum-based needs of each student. We will always help with the immediate needs, but will never ignore the underlying. By giving students a new understanding, a new way to face their academic challenges, and a newfound confidence in themselves, the potential for growth is boundless!

Meet the Founder Corey Rauterkus

I initially earned a master's degree in education (mathematics) and later added a multiple subject credential in order to expand my ability to teach a broader range of ages and subjects. After teaching in person for four years at the middle and elementary school levels, I joined a private online school where I am in my fifth year. In addition to hands-on experience with curriculum development, I have now taught at public, private, charter, and online schools in every grade level from 1st to 12th. Through this experience, I acquired an understanding of curriculum in a broad range of standards and subjects.

During this time, I always relished the moments when I got to work with students one-on-one. I have grown to love tutoring for this reason and the freedom it provides. It allows me to pursue instruction and education following my own philosophy. In this setting, I am able to give each student the type of instruction and attention they deserve. For me, the ultimate success story is watching a student move on to the next exciting adventure in their life, with a new sense of self, and a confidence that shows in the way they embrace the challenges they are bound to face.
